From this research i have learnt all about the history of gangster films and the main concept of what makes a gangster film (the conventions). I will be requiring this for my final production as not just good knowledge is required to create a gangster opening but also the main conventions and history of how gangster films got to where they are today. Researching my sub genre Mob films has give me the ideas i need to produce my final production. From this research i have found that my sub genre 'MOB' normally has quite a high budget and so from this i will have to plan out ways on cutting down such as guerilla recording which is recording a location without permission as the permission will most likely cost millions which I cannot afford. Furthermore I have discovered many different gangster films with a variety of sub genres such as:
- Mob Film
- Detective Film
- Modern Gangster Film
- Noir Film
- Thriller
